6th April 2006 in 8th Carrickfergus Church Halls

1. Opening. Mr. Andrew Hamilton, Battalion Vice-President occupied the chair and conducted our opening devotions.

2. Attendance and Apologies. 10 Officers representing 6 Companies were present and apologies had been received prior to the meeting from J. Brown (6C), N.McConkey (1Bc).

3. Minute of previous meeting. The Minute of the previous meeting was read, confirmed and signed.

4. Drill Committee. It was reported that 3rd Carrick had finished second in the NID final. Discussion on drill course for Officers. Interested parties to contact John Cathcart and try to arrange for beginning of next session.

5. Training Committee. Nothing to report

6. Recreation Committee. Nothing to report

7.Election of Office Bearers for session 2006/7.

The President occupied the chair, thanked those who had held office in the past year and declared all offices vacant. The following were elected as office bearers for the next session.

Before handing back the chair the President requested convenors of the committees to give the secretary a written report of activities if they cannot attend a Council meeting.

8. Any other business. Comment was made regarding uniform differences in the Church Parade. This will be raised at the Brigade Council in September. Also what would be the likely routes for the Parades in the future?

9. Benediction There being no further business the Chairman closed the meeting with prayer.
