Anchor Boys - Minutes

The Anchor Boy council met in 1st Ballyclare on Wednesday 27/02/08 at 8pm.

Those present were as noted in the attendance book.

Matters Arising

Margaret opened the meeting and Brain Smyth declared all offices vacant. Due to the small number in attendance Margaret McAdoo and Andrea McDowell we re-elected back into their current posts and we agreed to provisionally re-elect the other post holders pending their agreement. This was proposed by Drew Buchanan and seconded by David Warwick.

The following forthcoming events where confirmed:-

Sunday 13th April 2008 - Battalion Church Parade in Joymount Presbyterian Church @ 3.30pm. Anchor Boys will line the parade route.

Saturday 26th April 2008 - Anchor Boy & Junior Section 40th Anniversary outing in Carrickfergus Omniplex, the film has not been confirmed as yet, but will be suitable for children. We plan to attend the matinee show which commences around 12 noon. The cost will be approx £2.50 per boy and will include refreshments.

Saturday 10th May 2008 - 40th Anniversary Officers Battalion Dinner to be held in Ballylinney Presbyterian Church. The cost for the evening will be £20 and tickets are available from Drew Buchannan. We would encourage you and your fellow officers to come along and share in fellowship together as a battalion.

Thursday 22nd May 2008 - Final Battalion Meeting of the session in 3rd Ballyclare @ 8pm.

The Anchor Boy Competition was won by:

P1 & P2 - 2nd Carrickfergus

P3 & P4 - 1st Mullaghdubh

This being all the business the meeting was closed in prayer.
