East Antrim Battalion Anchor Boy Council Meeting - 11th September 2007

The Anchor Boy Council met in Downshire Church on 11/9/07 at 7.30pm as part of the joint section meeting.

Those present were as noted in the attendance book.

Apologies received from 1st Ballyclare.

Matters Arising

The meeting was opened by discussing the small turn out. Margaret will bring the matter up at the next executive meeting to see if we can come up with any ideas to increase our numbers. It was felt that maybe the first meeting was too early in the session and should be put back a few weeks for everyone to get settled back in.

Forthcoming events

Carol Service 2/12/2007 - 1st Ballyclare at 3.00pm - this will be a joint service with junior section.

Fun & Games - this will be on either Friday 23/11/07 or Friday 30/11/07 in Ballylinney. Margaret to confirm the date. The final will be held in Ballymoney on the 26/1/07.

Colouring in competition - Margaret advised us that we must use the Anchor template on page M-19 in the red programme pack. She also confirmed that we now have 2 cups, one for the best P1 + P2 entry and one for the best P3 + P4 entry. Entries should be with Margaret McAdoo by the 30/11/07 or can be brought along to the fun and games night.

40th Anniversary celebrations

Officer's dedication service to be held in Holy Trinity on Sunday 23/9/2007 at 7.00pm. Full uniform should be worn.

Company section outreach - 9/11/07 in Ballyclare Leisure Centre - Blue Tree band will be playing.

40th Anniversary Dinner - 23/5/07 in Ballylinney there are only be 100 places, so book your place ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Anchor Boy fun day - details to follow

2006-2007 Charity - all monies to be in by Friday 14/9/07

Next meeting - Monday 12/11/2007 in 1st Larne - this will be a training night and we will be looking at some new games, parachute games and craft

This being all the business the meeting was closed in prayer.
