Captain’s Breakfast Follow-up

To all Captains, Acting Captains, Officers-in-Charge and members of the Executive.

Following a very successful breakfast on Saturday 5th November it was agreed that we should follow up on our discussions and try to widen the number of participants. At the Joint Councils meeting we arranged another breakfast meeting for the 10th December from 8.30 until 12 noon at The Coast Road Hotel. This time each of us will have to pay for our own breakfast (cost £6.50 plus 50p tip for the staff i.e. £7). Please put this date in your diary immediately.

We would like each of you to invite another member of your staff to come along as well so that we have input to the discussions from all sections.

The topics for discussion are

(1) The role of the Executive

(2) Our Battalion Church Parade

(3) Officer attendance at Council meetings

(4) Communications NID / Battalion / Company

(5) Battalion 40th Anniversary – 2007

We would encourage you to attend with a company colleague so that the widest range of views can be examined and a plan of action commenced.  We know that it may not be possible for each one to attend but we would ask you to invite someone from your company to go in your place if you cannot attend.

In order to make arrangements with the hotel I  would ask you to fill in the reply slip at the bottom and return it to me asap along with a cheque for the appropriate. Some of you will receive this by email, where I have an email address, and the remainder by post. My email address for the returns is francis@frankpicton.freeserve.co.uk

 If any one who receives this by post would like to reply by email please do so as this will allow us to establish an email list of contacts which could then be used to relay info about Council meetings and feedback from other meetings such as this one we are planning.

Please make every effort to attend and bring a colleague.
