8th Carrickfergus and 2nd Carrickfergus Company are awarded the McCune Trophy and 8th Carrickfergus win the Fitzell Trophy
At the Battalion Meeting held on Monday 9th November in 1st Larne, 8th Carrickfergus and 2nd Carrickfergus were awarded the Trophies.
McCune Cup
This
trophy is open to companies operating in the Borough of Carrickfergus.
Points are awarded in the Company Section for the percentage number of
passes in the Christian Education examination, 3rd stage leadership and
the Battalion Parade. Points for any increase in membership and attendance
by officers at Battalion meetings.
Points
are awarded in the Junior Section to companies who have had an increase in
membership over the previous year. Also taken into consideration are the
number of events attended, i.e. figure marching, quiz kids and 5 aside
football. The number of boys attending the Carol service and the number of
achievement gained by the boys throughout the year as well as the number
of meetings at Battalion Level that the officers attend.
The Anchor boys are also involved with marks for attending the Carol Service,
and officers attending Battalion meetings
Fitzell
Cup.
This
cup is awarded to the Junior Section who attend the figure marching, quiz
kids and 5 aside football competitions. The number of boys attending the
Carol service and the number of achievement gained by the boys throughout
the year is also taken in consideration.

number of meetings at Battalion Level that the officers attend.
